Columbia Sportswear Men's Tech Trek Short Sleeve Shirt Review
I've been watching for a few expensive alternative for my UA tees. I'm rough on my materials, a lot of outside labor and gym time. UA has held up very well. This Columbia seems to be an excellent alternative at half the cost. Shirts run a little longer than UA, which I like the material won't pique like the Champion shirts I tried. I recommend. One nitpick, what is with the ridiculous amount of tags on this garment?? See photo. Come to Columbia???
This item was purchased for a four day camping trip during the summer. I only wish I had bought more than one. The generous fit perfects for me.The cotton shirt I wore on the 1st day was soaked with sweat for about an hour during the mid-afternoon of our entry. The next day when I wore this shirt, the variety was shocking. It was way cooler and dry than 100% cotton. Not only that, I read some reviews about the material being scratchy or abrasive, and I experienced none of that with this shirt. For the price I paid, this shirt was more than worth it, and I will be ordering, at least, three more.
Great shirts. Currently, I own six, 5 gray and one white. Very comfortable, but fragile. (White Is Semi Transparent). These are full synthetic t-shirts that I use for hiking and everyday wear, as I tend to run sweltering even in lightweight cotton. The fit is somewhere between active and relaxed. The sleeves cover most of my biceps (I'm 6 foot 4 315lbs and ordered a 2x) and come far enough down over my waistband without ordering a tall size. These are very soft out of the bag compared to other synthetic shirts I have owned, and I have had no chafing or rubbing issues in the pit or neck areas. Surprisingly warm when worn with a light 1/4 zip or sweatshirt considering how thin they are. Only thing you need to remember does not wash with anything that has hook and loop closures on it (velcro) as it will catch and separate strands in these shirts
